Christian Education Ministry

Our Christian Education Ministry is always hard at work planning our next event, from seasonal favorites to parenting workshops and family-friendly movie nights.

Christian Education sponsors the Easter Egg Hunt, our Mother's Day Tea in May, and oversees our Advent Wreath Workshop in December. Every Summer, Christian Education Ministry hosts Vacation Bible Camp-- one week of faith learning, crafts and outdoor activities for kids aged 5-10. They also host fun events like our monthly Kid’s Night Out.

These events are designed to be fun for the entire family, with kid favorites like waterslides, crafts, and healthy snacks. You can always check our upcoming events page for more information, but the best way to stay connected is to subscribe to our weekly Wave email for up to date details and announcements.

Mommy and Me

Led by Allison Schmitz, Mommy/Daddy/Grandparent and Me is offered in ten week cohorts that meet on weekday mornings at the Church. It’s the perfect time for connection and socialization between children and parents. Everyone is invited— no church membership is required. Registration is on going and class size is limited.

Sunday School

Our roots lie in Sunday School and Christian Education-- from the Church's earliest days to now, bringing Jesus into the lives of young ones has always been central to our mission. We host Sunday School every Sunday throughout the year, with age appropriate curriculum, monthly crafts and play time.

Sunday School is open to all regardless of Church Membership. We invite everyone to join us, from infants and toddlers all the way through fifth grade. Our Sunday School is run by our tireless Director, Myra Ghabrial, and her hardworking team of dedicated teachers, aides and volunteers.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR

There is a place for voices of all ages to grow musically, partake in worship, and learn basic music skills.  Our Children's Choir sings about once every six weeks, at the 4:00PM Christmas Eve Service, and often prepares an annual musical play to be presented in June.

Currently the choir meets in-person Sundays at 11:15AM in the School Building, Room 104. (The first classroom when you come down the ramp from the parking lot). If you have any questions, please contact Miss Ellen. New singers are always welcome, and should there be enough singers we can divide age groups into different time slots. Mrs. Ellen Steinmetz helps the children learn music to be shared in the services and special events. Mr. David Sateren, Director of Music, works on music games, vocal technique, music reading skills, and, with older children, tone chimes to gradually progress to a handbell choir.
