Mommy & Me

Join Allison Schmitz for our Mommy & Me program! Mommy, Daddy, Grandparent & Me is a shared experience of fun, exploration and learning between parent/grandparent and child. Sessions meet on weekday mornings and offer children the opportunity to develop the use of sensory, fine and gross motor skills. Positive social interaction is encouraged throughout the program. The class offers multiple cohorts throughout the week, and pairs can join at any time if the class is not full. Parents can either pay up front for all ten sessions, or arrange per-session payment with Allison.

The class is open to children up to three years and an adult partner. We welcome mommies, daddies, grandmas, grandpas, nannies and more!

About Allison

Allison Schmitz is a native of the peninsula and a ball of energy. On top of teaching ‘Mommy And Me’ and Sunday school at the Neighborhood Church she’s also the Activity Director at Rolling Hills United Methodist Preschool and teaches “Movin’ & Groovin” which is a school favorite. The South Coast Botanic Garden approached Allison to run a kids mini-camp in 2021 and will be returning this summer due to popular demand!
Allison is a fully credentialed K-12 teacher but found her true calling in early childhood education. In ‘Mommy & Me,’ she focus on the children, but the parents as well. She volunteers in support groups for Postpartum Depression and has helped lots of new moms cope with the struggles of being a new parent. We can’t believe there are three of her, but yes— Allison is a triplet! She is also a mom to a 12 year old daughter and 8 year old son!
