CROP Hunger Walk

  • South Bay Botanic Garden (map)

Join Team Neighborhood Church and Church World Service for the 2018 CROP Hunger Walk! On May 20, we'll be walking at the beautiful South Bay Botanical Garden to raise funds and awareness about hunger in our community and around the world. Registration will begin at 10AM and the walk will begin at 11AM.

What is a CROP Hunger Walk?  They're local walks sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger. In 2017, there were over 900 walks of 107,000 people that collectively raised more than $9,000,000!

CROP Hunger Walks were established in 1969 when a thousand people in Bismarck, ND walked together and raised $25,000 to help stop hunger. Since then, more than five million CROP Hunger Walkers have taken part in more than 36,000 CROP Hunger Walks.

How your contribution helps: by donating to Team Neighborhood Church and taking part in the Peninsula Harbor CROP Hunger Walk, you're helping provide food and water, seeds, tools, resources like wells and water systems, technical training and much more to those in need. CROP Hunger Walk partners with Church World Service to effectively supply these tools and resources around the world. And, each CROP Walk can choose to return up to 25% of the funds it raises to hunger fighting programs in its own community.

We hope you and your family or friends will join us for this year's CROP Hunger Walk! You can join our team and make a donation by visiting this link: Team Neighborhood Church
