The Neighborhood Church has helped support Harbor Interfaith Services (HIS) in San Pedro since its inception 42 years ago. Our Christian Action Ministry continues this tradition by sponsoring a collection of new cleaning supplies to benefit residents in its programs described below. The drive will run from April 15 through April 29, and there will be a collection box in the Narthex and the Church Office. 

Please bring non-toxic items, such as paper towels, dish towels, sponges, packaged rags, mops, feather dusters, brooms, dust pans, laundry detergent, window cleaners, all-purpose household cleaners, bath tissue and dish soap. Your donations will benefit:

• Clients in the agency’s 90-day emergency shelter and 18-month transitional housing programs that provide housing and support (including childcare) to approximately 450 people each year.
• Residents in two HIS-managed complexes in Century Villages at Cabrillo, a 26-acre park-like campus in Long Beach that offers permanent, affordable housing and support services for the recently homeless and working poor.
