During her time with us this summer, Davida will lead an adult education course on three Saturday mornings outside on the Portico. Her them this year is “Living Legends: Unsung Heroes I’ve Known.” You will be introduced to the one she calls “the Gandhi of Colombia,” to another who faced the enormity of a massacre and became a leader for peace, to church lay leaders in Uganda and Kenya, to a woman who was instrumental in the civil rights movement and whose story is just now being told. these and others each capture the spirit of Christ and have inspired her. She hopes they will do the same for you. She invited you to reflect on the quiet heroes you have come to know, people whose lives changed their communities, their nations or the world. All are invited— we hope you’ll join us!

The classes will meet from 10AM-11AM on the Portico outside the Parlor on Saturdays— June 11, 18 and 25.
