Women are much in the news these days. Come join Davida for three opportunities to talk together about women’s progress and recent setbacks, about our own experiences and those of others who live very different lives from ours. Davida has been engaged with women’s issues both in the church and in the wider society since she was a girl. When she was 13 she wrote a letter to Ingenue magazine informing them that she rejected their lead article titled “10 Ways to Catch a Boy in School”, and it was published! She founded the Prudence Crandall Center in CT in 1973, which became the second domestic violence shelter in the nation. She was the first woman to serve as Conference Minister for the UCC in the Southern California, Connecticut, Missouri Mid-South, and Florida Conferences.
These classes will meet on Saturday mornings from 9AM-10:30AM in the Parlor. Class will be held June 29, July 6 and July 13.
