Christmas EVE WORSHIP 2024

Christmas is a joyous season for Christians around the world. Join us as we celebrate this season with festive activities and Worship services for the entire family.

CHRISTMAS EVE WORSHIP

We will host two in-person services on Christmas Eve to help everyone connect to the Christmas story and celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

4PM Family Service

This special service is geared towards families and children of all ages – we will hear familiar Christmas Carols, read the Christmas story in a way children can relate to, and celebrate with the entire family.  This service is typically one of our most well-attended of the year, so we advise arriving early to get a seat.

8PM Candlelight Service

This service is designed in a quiet, meditative style for older youth and adults.  Each person who attends is given a candle to light and hold near the end of the service when we hum Silent Night.  The dimly lit sanctuary allows for a sense of contemplation and mystery as we share lessons and carols and a brief meditation. Festive preservice music will begin at approximately 7:40PM. This service will also feature our Covenant Choir and special music throughout.

special offering recipient:

Every year, The Neighborhood Church selects a non-profit and/or charity to support their worthy cause, as vetted and selected by our Christian Action Ministry (CAM). This year, CAM has selected Mychal’s Learning Place as the recipient of our special offering. Mychal’s Learning Place provides the support, training and opportunities to youth and young adults with developmental disabilities to build their independence and pursue their goals and dreams.

Mychal’s Learning Place is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting and empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, such as autism and Down Syndrome, to build self-esteem and independence through activities that offer life skills training in a safe and loving environment. Mychal’s participants skew heavily toward young people transitioning into adulthood, and because that is such a critical period for the desire and potential for independent living, our most recent programs have a significant focus on job skills and placement.

Visit www.mychals.org to learn more about our latest social enterprises - Mychal’s Café & Bakery, and Mychal’s Print & Embroidery Shop, both providing job training and work experience in both the Hospitality and Print industries.

Please prayerfully consider supporting the great work that Mychal’s does. We will have Mychal’s envelopes in the pews over the next few weeks. If donating by check, please make your check payable to The Neighborhood Church with “Mychal’s” in the memo line. Or, simply use the online form below. Reach out to info@ncpve.org with questions or for assistance.

Thank you for your consideration and we hope you and your loved ones have a blessed holiday season.
