CHRISTIAN ACTION
Serving others is an important part of who we are.
Members of our Christian Action Ministry spend the year carefully vetting local non-profit organizations who address need in our community and beyond. From helping provide temporary housing for homeless families to rehabilitating individuals with drug and alcohol issues, we provide financial and hands-on help. Below are just a few of the organizations that we have worked with.
Family Promise of the South Bay
Family Promise of the South Bay provides a community-based approach to combating family homelessness. Utilizing an interfaith network of Houses of Faith, Family Promise provides temporary housing, job and credit counseling, family therapy, hot meals and legal advocacy to newly homeless families with children. From specialized case management to training and counseling, Family Promise is committed to ending the cycle of homelessness in Los Angeles.
We have supported Family Promise through financial assistance, bedding collection drives, and currently serve as a Support Congregation. Members of our Church provide nutritious meals and hospitality to guests in the Family Promise Program.

Caring House
Caring House is the first and only non-medical home in Los Angeles totally focused on end-of-life care. They are a loving home for the last stage-- a place designed to provide peace, comfort and support for those in the final stages of life. End-of-life care is a somber time with many difficult questions. Caring House works to provide support for families and handle care duties for guests so that families can spend their energy connecting with and supporting their loved ones.
In 2016, Caring House was one of two recipients of our Annual Easter Offering. The Easter Offering provided crucial funds that allowed Caring House to open and begin providing compassion and care. Since then, our congregation has assisted in sewing specialized pillowcases that provide leg and arm support to residents.
